Tonight, one of my teachers invited me to her house for dinner. I have no idea what to expect but she said that she would try to make it a French Provincial meal. hmmm I will post about it tommorow.
Today in my bar class, one of my students made me a Mojito. Mmmmm, delicious. His name is Nicolas and himself and the other Nicolas in the class have been given the high honor of representing the school in the national Barman competition. They have to be able to take an order in English and explain all about the alcohol and the type of cocktail to the customer.
The different cultures here are so interesting to watch. Today, while eating lunch with some students in front of the school, we witnessed a little scene. There were 2 mothers with strollers as well as 2 young boys walking beside them. One of the boys had a broken leg and was on crutches. One of the mothers started screaming at the top of her lungs at the boy on crutches. He tried to back up and almost fell of his crutches. He looked scared and bewildered. She would walk a few steps and then yell, in a crazy out of control way. I asked my students what they were saying and they said they had no clue either, it was in arab. One of the students has a broken hand. He said that one night at 9pm, he was going to get a snack and some young guys (who also happened to be arab) asked him for a light. He said no and so they attacked him. In the process, his hand got broken. Its really crazy here. They try to teach tolerance in the schools but when all the students have had bad experiences with these cultures, its pretty hard. I feel bad for the students at my school that are arab and are trying to make a better life for themselves. The culture just has such a bad name here. They always ask me if its this bad in Canada. Luckily, its not.
Gotta go, there is a girl in a coma like state 10ft from me and the paramedics just arrived!

yes, it was soo weird. Well I didnt notice her at first then I saw a crowd of people. It turns out she passed out though. At least I think that was her problem. Another prof explained it in French and used a strange expression.
